Living in different countries, coupled with extensive travel, has brought a wide range of influences into the design style of Shruti Balakrishnan. Her inspired use of color, patterns, and materials, whether combined in bursts of colors or soothing neutrals, is an exploration of many cultures.

In Shruti's view, a well-designed room tells the story of the people who live there. Helping to visually write that story, in a language both vital and rich, is what she enjoys most. And when it comes to languages, Shruti speaks many: She is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Malayalam.
