Michael Michalski

Michael has been with Ethan Allen of Western New York since 1991. He has held numerous positions throughout the years and is currently the vice president of design services. Michael attended Villa Maria College in Buffalo, New York, where he studied interior design. He is certified by the Council for Qualification of Residential Interior Designers (CQRID) and a member of the Interior Design Association (IDA) of Western New York, and has worked for clients in Amherst and throughout the country.

Michael brings both skill and years of experience to all areas of design, from space planning and furniture coordination to accessorizing and window treatment design with Hunter Douglas® blinds, shades, and shutters. He approaches all of his clients’ projects, whether an entire home or a single room, with the same design philosophy: Create great, livable designs that represent each client's unique lifestyle.

Michael has been the principal designer for eleven rooms featured in Junior League of Buffalo's Decorators' Show Houses and has participated in twelve Horizons Home Shows, where he has taken homes from concept to design to implementation. His work has been featured in numerous publications and local television shows, including a furniture makeover feature on the nationally televised Dr. Phil show.
