After many years in the retail sector, Benjamin started his own design firm in New York City in 1989, where he specialized in customizing each project to the individuality of the client. In his work at The Bells’ Ethan Allen, he draws on years of design and retail experience to assist clients with their design needs.
His work has been showcased by the Kips Bay Junior League of New York, in the United Cerebral Palsy, Fortieth Jubilee Home Tour, in shelter publications, and on NY1 TV. Projects include the Connecticut Communities, which won a Lodi Award; a redesign of a 180-foot yacht in Ft. Lauderdale; and the George Vanderbilt Mansion on Long Island's Sands Pointe.
